Tori was Best of breed both days here and Best Junior In Group on the Sunday

Murray Valley Kennel Club - Albury, New South Wales 5th, 6th, 7th August 2011

We had a fantastic weekend away at Albury, we camped with our caravan at the venue and just had to walk to the ringside to our gazebo. Trey was set up well with his toys for entertainment and Day 1 was beautiful weather, sun shinning and Tori won a 22 pt best of Breed under Breed specialist Mrs Wendye Slatyer (NSW) and Best Junior in Group. That night the heaven opened and it rained all night and the next morning. We woke to find a swimming pool at the back of the caravan and well soaked grounds. Day 2 Tori won Bitch challenge (12pts) and Runner Up best of Breed under Mrs PHD Gilbert (USA). Day 2's Open Show Tori was also best bitch and Runner up Best of Breed under Ms V Rose (NSW). Day 3 and more rain turned the grounds to mud and slush and i resorted to wearing gumboots into the ring! Tori decided enough was enough and didnt show as well as usual, receiving a 2nd of 3. But i handled friends Mandy and Reg Clancy's male Ch. Kimissa Cougar (Mavericks brother) to a 20pt Best of Breed! Mandy and Reg's bitch Ch. Kimissa Stormy was Bitch Challenge and Runner Up Best of Breed ( Gold Dust's sister). Great results and great company all weekend made it one to remember.

A lovely reminder of our weekend away with Tori, with judge Miss K. Reeder (NSW)

Rylstone Kandos Kennel Club 23rd & 24th July 2011

We traveled to the Blue Mountains in New South Wales for a road trip and holiday. Beautiful scenery, but my fear of heights led me to keep my eyes on the road and not on the sheer drops on the side of the roads! We stayed at Kandos over the weekend and it was a short 5 minute trip to the next town of Rylstone for two shows. Saturday Tori won a best of Breed and a Group 1st / Junior in Group and Sunday, Best of Breed again and Junior in Group. She is now nearing 300 points at 14 months of age.

New addition to Entourage

Picture
We have a new addition to our show team, 'Kimissa Maverick' who has been shown lightly and has come for some fun with our zany mob here. He doesn't mind crested company, but didn't know what a cat was, our tabby cat 'Tigger' wanted to give poor Maverick a smootch but he didn't know quite what to make of him!

August 2010 - KCC Park, Horsham and Hamilton

Picture
August brought us back into showing again, with Zena picking up a few challenges towards her championship title, not far to go now! Tori and Bridgette have started their shows off and Tori has managed a few baby puppy of breeds and a best baby puppy in the toy group at Hamilton. (pictured is Tori at 4 months old)

We have three girls staying on from the two litters born in May 2010, two hairless, 'Tori' and 'Biscuit' and a powderpuff  'Bridgette'. I claimed the hairless and my mother has claimed the powderpuff, but really, im glad i have a nice powderpuff as i adore them. 1st of August is our first show back showing, taking all the babies for socializing as well. 'Tori' makes her debut mid August, more lead training is needed as she has two speeds, fast and full pelt! 'Bridgette' and 'Biscuit' will follow in the coming months.
July 2010
Both litters of puppies have done well, little bit of a rough start with Zoe and not having enough milk, i was up through the night taking care of the Zoes babies and making sure they had a drink. I have kept two hairless girls to keep me out of trouble for the rest of the year, one from each litter and have found some wonderful homes for the others. One of Inka's boys is going to Melanie McNally of Chinkie Yen kennels in Sydney to be campaigned hopefully up there. Its the start of a cold winter here, down to 2 degrees and the cresteds are enjoying their new heat lamps in the kennels. I have just entered some shows finally! Im looking forward to getting back to some showing and socializing once again.

May 2010
With two litters of puppies at home we are taking a break from shows for a little while, winter is upon us and im not a huge fan of cold weather and neither are the cresteds!  We will be back when the weather starts warming up at the end of August :-) Looking forward to the Royal Melbourne Show in September and Melbourne Cup Carnival shows in November.
